Fireworks at Christchurch Park

This yearly event at Christchurch Park is not only East Anglia’s premier fireworks display but also a great evening of entertainment including music food and family friendly performances. This year’s performers will include soul and funk band: Soul Riot, Funky voices: an award-winning modern choir and the outstanding female vocalist: Chelsea Francis

When: Saturday 4th November 2017

Lavenham Literary Festival

Lavenham Literary Festival

The Lavenham Literary Festival is now in its fifth year and once again has a fantastic range of speakers including Simon Barns, who’s books on birds, nature and sport have taken him across the world and have been read by millions. Other speakers include Sophie Hannah – world renowned crime writer, the Reverend Richard Coles – speaking about his life from being part of 80’s pop band The Communards and the unlikely connection to his present vocation as a priest, and many more excellent guests. There is also the opportunity to take part in a creative writing course and once again, a festival dinner will be held at The Swan Hotel on the Friday evening.

Heveningham Hall Fireworks

Heveningham Hall Fireworks

The spectacular fireworks display at Heveningham Hall is accompanied by a huge bonfire and a whole host of entertainment including a traditional funfair, large bar, fish and chips, hog roast, BBQ and a variety of tasty local foods. But that is not all, the evening is completed with some great musical entertainment including chart-toppers Toploader who will be supported by Stevie Appleton and the Freebirds, Ralph Taylor, Honey & The Bear and the fantastic LED Drummers.

Ways With Words Southwold Literature Festival

Southwold Literature Festival

Southwold’s Ways with Words festival hosts four days of events discussing mystery, philosophy, politics and even the secret life of cows. Fascinating ideas are presented on a whole host of subjects and this is a great chance to get involved. Guests speakers include Matthew d’Ancona and Vince Cable MP. The Festival makes an ideal escape from the stress and strain of every-day life and is a time to engage with books and ideas in the most comfortable of settings.

Bury St Edmunds Christmas Fayre

Stollen Bury St Edmunds Christmas Fayre

The Bury St Edmunds Christmas Fayre is a packed weekend of shopping, food & drink, entertainment and of course, Christmas magic. Set in the centre of Bury St Edmunds’ historic medieval town, Angel Hill will host over 100 stalls, a world market, traditional funfair and the Greene King stage where there will be entertainment. As well as the market square, stalls, food and events will be available in the wider area including the magical Abbey Gardens, The Apex and The Arc shopping centre.
